COMMON QUESTIONS
All Topics
BuyingHow do I find a vehicle on AutoPlug?+
Use the homepage search or Browse Cars to filter by body style, make, model, year, price and other details. Open any vehicle to see its photos, mileage, features, location and seller information.
BuyingCan I save a car without an AutoPlug account?+
Yes. Saved Cars works in your current browser even if you are not signed in. Account syncing across devices will be added later.
BuyingWhat happens when I check vehicle availability?+
Your inquiry goes to the seller or authorized dealership for that specific vehicle. The vehicle is not confirmed available until the seller responds.
BuyingDoes AutoPlug inspect or guarantee listed vehicles?+
No. AutoPlug is a vehicle advertising and lead-generation platform. Buyers should verify the VIN, title/ownership information, vehicle history, condition and transaction terms and consider an independent pre-purchase inspection before buying.
SellingHow do I list my car on AutoPlug?+
Start with the VIN, then sign in or create an account. Add the vehicle details, photos, features, asking price and description, choose a plan and complete seller verification. Once every required item is complete, your listing goes live automatically.
SellingWhat information is required to publish?+
Required fields are marked in the seller form. We need enough vehicle, location, pricing and account information to create a useful listing. Optional details can help buyers without blocking your submission.
SellingWhat if I do not upload a vehicle photo?+
Your listing should include clear, current photos of the actual vehicle. They help buyers understand the car they are considering and are required before publication.
AccountWhy does AutoPlug verify email and mobile?+
These checks connect activity to a reachable account and help reduce abuse. Once a contact method is verified, that status stays with your account.
AccountWhen is identity verification required?+
First-time private sellers must complete identity verification before a listing can be approved. AutoPlug stores the result and provider reference—not the ID image itself—in normal listing records.
AccountCan I update my profile later?+
Yes. You can edit eligible profile details in My AutoPlug. Changing verified contact information may require you to verify it again.
ListingsHow long does listing review take?+
Most reviews are completed within one to five hours when the review team is available. A listing does not appear in public search until it has been approved and published.
ListingsCan I change a listing after publishing?+
Yes. My AutoPlug lets you manage the price, status and permitted listing details. Approved changes are reflected in the public listing.
ListingsHow do seller plans work?+
Choose SPARK, DRIVE or APEX when you submit a vehicle. Each plan includes one listing with a different duration and level of visibility. RECHARGE adds 30 days to an eligible listing.
FinancingIs the AutoPlug payment calculator a loan offer?+
No. The calculator is an estimate based on the values you enter, including vehicle price, down payment, trade-in value, estimated APR, loan term and estimated sales-tax percentage. It is not a loan approval or credit offer.
FinancingDo I need to enter my Social Security number for an estimate?+
No. AutoPlug does not request an SSN to build a payment estimate. A participating dealer or lender may later require additional information through its own secure process if you choose to pursue financing.
FinancingWhat happens when I request financing options?+
With your consent, AutoPlug sends the request and payment estimate to participating dealership or financing partners. The responding partner—not AutoPlug—determines the actual APR, approval, fees and terms.
SafetyWhat does Verified Seller mean?+
It means the seller completed AutoPlug's required account and identity checks. It does not guarantee ownership, vehicle condition or future conduct, so buyers should still verify the car and transaction independently.
SafetyWhat should I verify before paying for a vehicle?+
Confirm the seller and vehicle, match the VIN across the car and documents, review title/ownership information, check vehicle history and recalls, consider an independent inspection and use safe payment and title-transfer practices.
SafetyHow do I report a suspicious listing or seller?+
Choose Safety / Fraud in the support request form below and include the listing reference plus a concise description. Do not include passwords, one-time codes, complete payment-card information or government-ID images in a general support request.
